International School of Brooklyn

The International School of Brooklyn is an independent, non-profit educational institution based in Prospect Heights, Brooklyn. The school serves the local and international community of New York City with a private day school program for Nursery through 2nd grade students. The school also offers community-wide programming such as: Language- Immersion Playgroups for toddlers and preschoolers, Enrichment Classes for elementary students, international film showings, and other multicultural events.

Launched in March 2003, the International School of Brooklyn has grown from an idea supported by a group of 10 people to a grassroots, parent-led movement with over 100 Brooklyn and NYC families committed to the founding of the institution. The school provides an intimate, progressive and multicultural education that is ideal for preparing our children - tomorrow’s business and civic leaders - to face the challenges and opportunities of an international future.

As the strategic real estate advisor for International School of Brooklyn, Jonathan Rose Companies provided educational finance consulting services and created a multi-year operating budget tool for the projected expansion of the school.

With embedded links and assumptions, the budget modeling tool gave the International School of Brooklyn the ability to manipulate critical budget drivers of enrollment, tuition rates, financial aid, staffing and operational costs needed to assess overall impact.
